Shifting adjustments/drivetrain clinic The Ride & Wrench Series has 7 FREE clinics lead by the service experts of Trek Madison West. Each clinic will have a unique topic ranging from suspension setup to fix a flat. Rotating through different venues in the Madison area, there is sure to be a clinic for you. In this 4th clinic, you will learn the basic functions of a drivetrain and the simple cable adjustments that can be made while out on a ride. Topics Covered: -1x, 2x, and 3x drivetrains and the strategies for shifting each specific type of drivetrain. -Cable tension barrel adjustments -Visual inspection of chain line and how it effects chain wear -Drivetrain noise. -Maintenance intervals on your chain, chainrings, and cassettes. We will do an optional, no-drop, 5-10 mile group ride. Plan to bring appropriate clothing and gear. Helmets are required and lights and hydration are recommended.
